Our goat coats are made from the finest quality materials by an Amish gentleman who is retired from a career of making upholstered furniture. The goat owners who have purchased them report that not only are they very pleased with their coats but greatly impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship. They are available in four colors, both lined and unlined, and we offer a large range of sizes and even custom embroidery.
Mature Doe Show goats of all sizes can be kept clean and protected from chilly conditions by our warm and attractive coats.

Elderly or sick animals at home benefit from being protected from low temperatures.
Winter babies often need the added protection of a coat.

In the spring, when the kids go off to the shows, the coats protect against sudden weather changes.

We'll even make coats for your miniature donkeys so they'll look spiffy going to their next event. Donkey Coats

Close-up of materials The outer fabric is a water-resistant denim-like polyester. The lined models have a lining of natural-color Woolrich polyester fleece. The edging is a nylon twill tape. All coats are machine-washable.
The 1.5-inch straps are cross- and double-stitched at the point of attachment to the coat. Quick release plastic buckles with tri-glide adjusters allow fixed adjustment to the straps' lengths, eliminating loose strap ends that attract nibbling and tugging by other goat friends. The new adjustable rear straps are 1-inch polyelastic webbing with plastic snaps.
Coats have a dart over each side of the rump to provide a more custom fitted appearance to the animal.
All seams are finished and the workmanship invites close inspection on both the inside and outside of the garment.

Our New & Improved Coat Style:

New Coat Style with Leg Straps After extensive consultation with goat breeders we have changed the strap styles of our goat coats. The coats still come with a 1.5-inch heart girth strap as did the original version but we have changed the belly strap arrangement. Because of problems with positioning the belly strap in front of udders and on the abdomen of bucks, we are now providing the coat with two adjustable, removable leg straps. The pair of straps can be used as leg straps or a single strap can be used as a belly strap.

The details at left and below show the new adjustable leg straps in position. They can be easily removed via the plastic snap hooks on each end. To use as a belly strap just remove one leg strap and attach the other to the belly strap D-ring on either side.

Virginia State Dairy Goat Assn., Inc. for their show trophies.

Measuring For Your Goat Coat
Measurement diagram

Goat Drawing by Sara Hones

Heart Girth: Measure around the goat's ribcage just behind the point of elbow.

Side Length: Measure from the center of the goat's spine down to the point you want the coat to reach.

Rear Flank Girth: Measure around the goat's body at a point just before the hip bones.

Top Length: Measure along your goat's topline from the base of the neck to the tail head to determine how long the coat must be.
